Satterwhite Point

J.C. Cooper Campground

One of the largest campgrounds at Kerr Lake, J.C. Cooper offers over 100 campsites across three areas with a mix of electric/water hookup and primitive sites. Features include playgrounds, shower houses, and a group campsite accommodating up to 100 people.

Hibernia is one of the most popular areas at Kerr Lake, featuring 139 campsites across three areas, a full-service marina with fuel, boat slips, and kayak/paddleboard rentals. The Plantation Trail winds through the historic area near the campground.

Nutbush Bridge
Areas 1, 3, and 4 closed August 1, 2026 for construction. Area 4 (12 non-electric sites) remains open.
Nutbush Bridge has campsites spread across multiple areas along a scenic stretch of the lake. Some areas are currently closed for facility improvements, but Area 4 remains open with non-electric sites and access to the water.
